Our Founder
Mary Kissel Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Mary founded The Kissel Group in 2026, after spending more than two decades across financial services, government, and media roles in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. She also serves as vice chairman of RXO, Inc., and as a director of Cadre Holdings, Inc., HEYCO Energy Group, Inc., and QXO, Inc. She is a nonresident senior fellow at Hudson Institute.
She previously founded and led the policy advisory practice at Stephens, served as Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State from 2018 to 2021, and spent 14 years at The Wall Street Journal, including service on its editorial board and as editorial page editor for Asia-Pacific in Hong Kong.
She is a graduate of Harvard University and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
